Never bid at auction before? Unsure of how it all works. Our Auction guru Jason has written a guide for all buyers on how to bid at auction, the in’s and out’s and some handy tips on researching your purchases and some insider knowledge rarely shared by Auctioneers. Jason has had over 30 years industry experience and is happy to share all he knows about auctions and antiques.
Each week we upload our up to date catalogue with descriptions and photos of everything up for auction at Scammells. You can search for the items you’re after, as well as see every upcoming auction for the next three months, including our Monday estate auction of 1,000 lots each and every week.
Online registration gives you access to our online bidding room, allows you leave absentee bids, create watch lists and
assigns you a permanent number, yours for life. There is no need to register again, even if you attend one of our auctions in person.
Keep track of all your activity in your "Scammells Account" including appointments, auction registrations & bidding activity. View, Download and Print your invoices all in the one place.
We love what we do, and as such, you won’t get better auction service anywhere in Adelaide. As with most things though, there are rules and guidelines to auctions. By law, we are required to work within these rules, which then helps to ensure a better experience for you. We recommend having a read through our terms and conditions which include information on buyers premium, packaging and shipping, and transport and storage.
